On July 18th, the shield machine of China Railway Shanhe successfully passed through the right tunnel of “Daojiao East Station - People's Hospital Station” in Dongguan City, successfully completing the task of passing through the tunnel of Dongguan Line 1, which is the interval with the highest difficulty and the greatest risk.

 

China Railway Shanhe 31 shield machine since May 30 this year, after 48 days and nights of continuous operation, digging 589 meters, safely under the gas, communications and other municipal pipelines, under the Changping River, Dongguan Guoyao, side through the Changping Bridge, Guchong Bridge, after 29 ‰ upslope and the full section of silt section, 4.7 meters of shallow overburden land layer section into the receiving shaft.


Tackle the difficulties

“Daojiao East Station - People's Hospital Station” shield interval in the 29 ‰ full section of silt uphill section shield head planting, belongs to the Dongguan Metro Line 1 construction of key risk sources, mainly due to the shield machine's own weight is large, in the 29 ‰ full section of silt uphill section, there is a host of risks of sinking, planting the head, the slightest mishap will lead to municipal pipeline rupture, ground collapse, house collapse.

Through the careful organization and accurate implementation of the project team, the shield machine of China Railway Shanhe safely passed through the risk source stratum, which laid a solid foundation for the smooth passage of the interval.


The smooth passage of the right tunnel of Daoren Interval provides valuable experience for the construction of the left tunnel under the same geological conditions. Next, China Railway Shanhe will submit more excellent results to the owner in the 1700m tunnel boring project of “People's Hospital - Bus Terminal” in Dongguan City, which is the first shot of China Railway Shanhe's subway construction in Dongguan.
